  • CL-215 causing FS2004 to crash

I downloaded the CL215 pack for FS2004 and installed it as per the instructions. When I tried to load the airplane, it caused FS2004 to crash to desktop and attempt a re-start. After re-start FS2004 crashed again when I tried to load the Buffalo CL215.

    Any ideas?

One more thing, when I download any files from the Buffalo list, the download repeatedly fails after only a few minutes. I have to keep trying before it finally takes hold and finishes.

I have the same problem. My FS9 crashes the same way. Does anyone have a solution for this problem. I prefer to use FS9, but I can use FSX. FSX don't give me the same options that I'm used to in FS9, like FSNavigator, frame rates, etc. Please...any help would be appreciated.

Did none of the fixes suggested above work? Unfortunately, most of our pilots use FSX (including myself) so debugging for FS9 is indeed an impossible task for me. It works perfectly fine in FSX.

I really don't know what else to say as I never used FS9.

The FS9 aircraft in our download section use the same aircraft.cfg and air.files as the standard freeware downloads with tweeks for realism, they have all been extensively tested in FS9 by members who use that sim and work fine. These downloads are large and slower connections can cause drop off before the download is complete, I suggest you take Dan's advice and use a download manager which automatically restarts the download until it is complete.

I tried that a couple times and it still never worked. So I downloaded another CL-215 package from Avsim I think and it worked fine. Like I said to Aharon in the chat (which I know that this topic shouldn't be, but I really needed the help), the model was the same, so I copied the .air, renamed it, and now it works just fine.
